BREAST AUGMENTATION WITH LOCAL ANESTHESIA USING THE PRESERVÉ™ TECHNIQUE

  • minimally invasive breast augmentation technique
  • without general anesthesia
  • 100% breast tissue preservation
  • also suitable for implant mastopexy
  • The minimally invasive breast reshaping techniques, Preservé™ and Preservé™ 2.0, maintain the anatomy of the bust, preserve the breast tissue - patients do not feel the prosthesis nor the deformities created by the pectoral muscle, as in traditional techniques - and ensure an extremely fast and comfortable recovery.

    The Preservé™ 2.0 concept, which refers to breast augmentation accompanied by mastopexy (breast lift), was developed together with Dr. Constantin Stan and changes the paradigm for this type of surgery.

    WHEN BREAST AUGMENTATION CAN BE PERFORMED UNDER LOCAL ANESTHESIA

    The minimally invasive breast augmentation techniques Preservé™ and Preservé™ 2.0 can be performed:
    • when the breasts have lost volume or are not the desired size;
    • in case the patient wishes to have a breast augmentation within the natural limits and proportions of the body, with breast augmentation by one to 3-4 cups, and keeping the result for a long period of time, without any further interventions;
    • if the patient wants to avoid general anesthesia and prefers light sedation and a quick recovery;
    • if the patient prioritizes breast gland preservation;
    • when it is necessary to revolumize the upper quadrant of the breasts, in case of glandular ptosis or when excess skin causes the breasts to descend with the nipple below the inframammary fossa and there is an indication for mastopexy with implant.

    WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT THE PRESERVÉ™ AND PRESERVÉ™ 2.0 TECHNIQUES

    • They can be performed with or without general anesthesia;
    • Do not use conventional instrumentation such as spacers, cutters or electrocautery;
    • They are minimally invasive surgical procedures that respect the breast tissues, muscles, mammary gland, vessels;
    • The surgery is very short, the recovery very fast, up to 24 hours;
    • The techniques are minimally inflammatory reactive;
    • They use specialized technology to allow access inside the mammary gland with minimal trauma to the tissues;
    • Unlike traditional techniques, which place the prosthesis behind the muscle or behind the fascia of the pectoralis muscle, the Preservé™ and Preservé™ 2.0 local anaesthetic breast augmentation techniques involve placing the implant in an anatomical space within the breast annular ligament, which respects the position of the mammary gland on the chest wall, preventing it from descending vertically and lateralizing;
    • The prosthesis is placed inside the posterior fascia of the mammary gland and behind the body of the mammary gland, which ensures that the dynamics and naturalness of the breast are respected to the highest possible degree;
    • Constantin Stan was instrumental in the creation of Preservé™ 2.0, a concept that places the prosthesis in an antigravitational vector. Normally, a breast descends over time, due to the laxity and development of the mammary gland, on the infero-lateral vector, outwards. The prosthesis is placed not in the center of the breast, but in the supero-internal quadrant, the upper pole, inward, where the critical zone is;
    • Implants can also be applied to sagging breasts without the traditional techniques of internal sutures or traumatizing the mammary gland

    WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN MIA® AND PRESERVÉ™ IN BREAST AUGMENTATION WITH LOCAL ANESTHESIA

    When it comes to breast augmentation using minimally invasive techniques, both the Mia Femtech™ procedure and breast augmentation with Preservé™ are suitable choices for patients who want a procedure with local anesthesia.
    However, there are some differences between the two techniques:
    • for breast reshaping with Preservé™ and Preservé™ 2.0, the incision is a maximum of 2.5 cm and is not made transaxillary, but in the inframammary groove - so under the breast - for more precise placement of the prosthesis;
    • also, unlike the Mia® technique, in procedures performed with Preservé™ and Preservé™ 2.0, the injector is replaced by an insertion bag;
    • The prosthesis used in breast augmentation using the Preservé™ technique is Ergonomix2, with a SmoothSilk® surface that mimics the breast so well that it does not make unnatural folds when the body moves.

    HOW THE SURGICAL PROCEDURE GOES WITH THE PRESERVÉ™ AND PRESERVÉ™ 2.0 TECHNIQUES

    The stages of the procedure are:
    • The patient has the pre-surgery consultation, the markings and the final discussion with the doctor;
    • The next stage is anesthesia and preparation for surgery;
    • The incision is made in the inframammary groove and is minimal, about two and a half centimeters;
    • An insertion channel is created using a patented, high-tech dissector, then the space for the prosthesis is created using a dissecting balloon, which is inflated to make room for the prosthesis;
    • The prosthesis is inserted with a special pouch without being touched by the surgeon;
    • The prosthesis used, the Ergonomix2 with SmoothSilk® surface, has minimal inflammation in terms of the reaction of the surrounding tissues;
    • The procedure takes about 15-20 minutes for a simple augmentation and the patient can leave the clinic the same day.

    RECOVERY AFTER BREAST AUGMENTATION WITH LOCAL ANESTHESIA

    After the procedure, the area is slightly sore and tender. The sensation gradually subsides after two to three days. It is advisable that the patient follows the instructions and follow-ups and avoids physical exercise for three weeks.
