Filling of the nasolabial folds is achieved by injecting hyaluronic acid: a minimally invasive aesthetic procedure used to blur wrinkles and fine lines in the nose and lip area. Before the injection of hyaluronic acid for wrinkles around the mouthAn anaesthetic cream will be applied to the area of the operation to reduce discomfort.
To fill the nasolabial fossae with hyaluronic acid, Cronos Med team doctors use either the thin needle or trauma needle or cannula injection method. After injection, the doctor gently massages the treated area to ensure even distribution of the hyaluronic acid. The procedure normally takes about an hour and does not require hospitalisation.
There are also situations in which hyaluronic acid injection for filling nasolabial wrinkles must be performed with caution or cannot be performed. Talk to one of the Cronos Med team doctors if:
- You have a skin infection in the area that needs to be treated;
- You are pregnant or breastfeeding;
- You suffer from amyotrophic lateral sclerosis or myasthenia gravis;
- You suffer from any severe illness or infection.
Immediately after treatment it is recommended to avoid the sauna, sun exposure, going to the solarium or pressing the treated area. In this regard, you will receive instructions about sleeping exclusively lying on your back for a few days after the procedure.
