Dermatologist Cristina Safta says that before choosing products for your daily skincare routine, it is ideal to visit your dermatologist to determine your skin type and make recommendations on which products are best suited to your skin type. She points out that these products can be changed, but they need to follow the "same pattern" set by the specialist. "The main pillars in the routine don't have to be complicated ones unless I want to complicate them," adds Safta.

Visiting a dermatologist should be the first step in choosing skin care products.

"It would be ideal to see a dermatologist and have them help us figure out our skin type. It's very important. And depending on the type of skin I have, I can then go with the recommendation given by the dermatologist or, further on, if I want to change the routine given by the dermatologist, because I got bored or maybe it doesn't suit me perfectly, I will go to the pharmacy and follow this calapod," said Cristina Safta, a doctor, on Tuesday evening, on Medika Tv.

She also talked about the steps your daily skincare routine should include.

"The main pillars in my routine don't have to be complicated ones unless I want to complicate them. I wash my face, I use a cleansing gel specific to my complexion, I use a moisturizer or a fluid depending on the complexion I have and necessarily photo-protection, by the way, the preventive purpose of wrinkles, skin cancers, we think including from the health perspective, not just the appearance that we will have years down the road. That's in the morning," the doctor explained.

Cristina Safta pointed out that the evening routine should start with a cleansing cleanser, using products such as cleansing milk or micellar water in the first step, and a cleansing gel and moisturizing cream in the second step.
