Botulinum toxin treatment prevents the formation of static wrinkles on the face by semi-permanently blocking overactive muscles in the face.
So botulinum toxin, Dysport or Vistabel acts on:
- horizontal wrinkles on the forehead;
- vertical wrinkles between the eyebrows;
- fine wrinkles at the corner of the eye and wrinkles on the nose.
Injections are performed with a very fine needle, and a treatment session lasts a few minutes and does not require anesthesia. On request, however, your specialist can apply an anaesthetic cream to minimise the unpleasant effects of the injections.
Immediately after the procedure, the areas where the punctures were made will be a little red. You should not lie down or bend your head for at least four hours, so as to prevent the botulinum toxin from migrating to areas other than those targeted.
RESULTS
The results become visible after about five days, and the maximum effect is reached about 10 days post-injection.
Depending on the body, the effect lasts up to six months.
