As we get older, the skin tissue loses elasticity and becomes thinner, the most affected areas being the cheeks, eyebrows, jawline and neck. Facelift is the most comprehensive method of treating wrinkles caused by aging, and the first attempts in this regard were made at the beginning of the last century.<\/p>\n

Surgery ranges from minimally invasive to highly sophisticated extensive procedures. One such minimally invasive procedure is the Aptos thread facelift, invented in 1996 by Georgian doctor Marlen Sulamanidze, which at the time represented a revolution in the field of aesthetic procedures.<\/p>\n

It is a facial rejuvenation procedure that can be performed on an outpatient basis, without total anaesthesia, without incisions, without a long recovery period but with the effect of a cosmetic surgery. APTOS proposes different types of threads, with special characteristics according to the personalized needs of each patient. The threads are either resorbable, with an effect for about 1 year, or non-absorbable and whose effect lasts for 3 to 5 years.<\/p>\n

The APTOS innovation focuses on the hook of the lifting thread that can grip and fix the tissue, but at the same time shape and pull it in any way the patient wants, for a complex and natural result. That's why the special design of these hooks is the one that can provide the desired effect.<\/p>\n

For the face, the various APTOS methods have been designed to correct the following areas: eyebrows, cheekbones, chin area, neck, nasolabial fold, glabella fold, glabella wrinkles, \"throat wrinkles\", forehead wrinkles, upper and lower eyelid, ear wrinkles, neck, neckline, hands.<\/p>\n

Especially for body rejuvenation, considering the skin and subcutaneous structure, APTOS proposes nano yarns treating the area of the arms, abdomen, breasts, inner thigh, above the knee.<\/p>\n

\nAPTOS threads and methods are currently used by specialists in over 50 countries.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

A study conducted on a group of patients in three different age groups, over a period of up to 12 months post APTOS thread lift, demonstrated not only an improvement in the aesthetic appearance of the face, but also an increase in elasticity by up to 25 conventional units, an increased hydration level by up to 10 units, a decrease in the intensity of skin pigmentation, minimization of pores and improved skin architecture by up to 23%.<\/p>\n

Dr. Constantin Stan was the first doctor in Romania to perform this procedure, assisted by the son of the inventor of Aptos wires, Dr. Constantin Sulamanidze, who was a guest of Cronos Med in May 2017 at our clinic.
