Blood is made up of red cells (red blood cells), white cells (leukocytes), platelets (platelets) and plasma. Plasma is the liquid part and represents 55-60% of the blood composition. Even though the blood is red overall, the plasma itself is bright yellow.<\/span><\/p>\n
