Upper blepharoplasty
Lower blepharoplasty

What is blepharoplasty?

Blepharoplasty is a surgical procedure to improve the appearance of the eyelids. This procedure can be performed on the upper and lower eyelids. The procedure, also called eyelid lift surgery, removes excess skin from the eye area and gives you a rejuvenated look. Eyelid Lift Operation generally takes 1-2 hours, and can vary if we are talking about double blepharoplasty, i.e. upper and lower. The doctor may opt for local or general anaesthesia and various surgical techniques, depending on your particular features. The results are long-term, lasting about 5-7 years for the upper eyelid, which is more easily influenced by the ageing process. The lower eyelid area rarely requires re-surgery.

What are the medical indications for blepharoplasty?

Before recommending blepharoplasty, the surgeons at Cronos Med will carefully analyze your case and health condition to see if this surgery is the optimal choice for you. In general, the surgeon may recommend eyelid lift procedure if excess skin blocks your vision and prevents you from reading or driving comfortably. It can also correct drooping or drooping eyelids and bags under the eyes. Most patients are over 35 and in good health, but only your doctor can determine if this procedure is right for you in a consultation.
